During my time at UND, I was approached by a brilliant student in the School of Entrepreneurship who was in the process of branding her startup. Her company, GirlTech, aims to empower women through the use of technology. Born in Peshawar, Pakistan, she has a deep understanding of the need for women to be safe and healthy, and has innovative ideas about how technology can help. Learn more about the GirlTech project.
Her goal was to take the gender symbol for female and inject the clean concept of technology while still keeping the brand feminine. Combining the symbol and the letter T was a natural way to begin a dynamic mark. The typefaces and color scheme were chosen for their successful blend of technology, femininity, and modernity.
