Effusio is the culmination of my graduate thesis at Academy of Art University.

My Role: Full Stack. User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Object-Oriented Programming (Actionscript 3.0), Database Design, PHP Programming.

I have always had a strong interest in psychology, empathy, and human-computer interaction. For my graduate thesis, I wanted to create an interactive expressive art therapy web application. I worked with an art therapist from NYC remotely to inform and guide the needs to of the application.

Effusio offers the art therapy client the ability to create an expressive collage through words, symbols, and drawings. The Flash-based tool provides soundtracks for inspiration during creation, and offers a journaling tool. Users can save, print, open, and edit the mood boards they create during therapy sessions. Process materials are available for viewing, including a mind map, information architecture, wireframes, and user testing report.
